Women Founders Reshaping BostonWomen's History Month isn't just a calendar observance — it's a reminder that progress takes intention, that recognition takes effort, and that the work of honoring women's contributions is never finished. This month, we’re celebrating the incredible women-led ventures in our network who are shaping the future of Boston's innovation ecosystem. From bold product launches to groundbreaking funding milestones, our women alumni founders are inspiring us to continuously build and represent! Some founders we've been following lately:

  • Samantha Johnson, Tatum Robotics (VHBOS I) - Tatum Robotics aims to offer people with deafblindness, a historically underserved community, their first independent communication tool. Tatum is an anthropomorphic robotic system to sign tactile sign languages —the primary and often only communication method of the ~150 million individuals with servere deafblindness worldwide.

  • Ashley Sherwin,Giving Credit (VHBOS II) - Giving Credit is committed to providing low income communities access to wealth-building credit through community finance visibility. Its mobile app facilitates and rewards peer lending in financially excluded communities, collects and aggregates community finance data, and partners with financial institutions to use community finance data for underwriting mainstream credit products.

  • Sophia Bender Koning, Hold My Juice (VHBOS III) - Hold My Juice is the AI parenting assistant that turns family admin into shared, simple action and gives you back time for the good stuff. They tidy the chaos (family calendars, emails, apps) into one clear view, then serve up calm, timely nudges so everyone knows what’s next without the mental gymnastics.
