VISIBLE NEWS

September 23, 2022

Visible Hands is a VC platform with verticalized programming

that supports overlooked talent in building technology startups.

Dear VH Community,A week ago our team gathered in Tulsa to meet our ~50 Visionaries and kick off our 2022 Visionary Accelerator Orientation. We kicked off programming with impactful tours at the Greenwood Rising Black Wall St. History Center and the Greenwood District. We started orientation by highlighting the historical significance of the Black Wall Street Massacre and the inspirational stories of the entrepreneurs and community members who rebuilt Tulsa; which set a powerful tone. The Orientation program featured workshops led by our team, alumni founders, and partners (shoutout to Mintz, Bolster, Build In Tulsa, and Atento Capital) and community-building events (i.e. tours of local Black-owned businesses, a fun minor league baseball game, and lots of authentic connections)!Check out the reflections on last week from one of our 2022 Visionaries, Luke Lennon, hereWe want to give a special thanks to our partners—Ashli Sims, Kye Harris, Kadijah Jones, and Desiree Frieson from Build in Tulsa and Michael Basch and his team at Atento Capital—for organizing a truly memorable and transformative week. Special shout out to our partners at Mintz Levin, Bolster, and our board member, Devin Nash, for joining us. Major props to our Team, namely: Nashaira, Amanda, Yulkendy, Sarina, Hannah, Vivian, Tia, and Shauyna for all of their hard work to make last week a success.Stay tuned - as we are only getting started. This week kicked off our official programming in supporting our founders in building their startups, fundraising, and product-market-fit.Be well,The VH Team
