Happy Friday, VH Community!We are excited to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month through different fun programs, resources, and opportunities, with the goal of furthering support for Latine founders. The Latine founder population continues to grow and yet, also continues to be one of the least served and supported in venture capital. This month provides us with a wonderful reminder to honor the heritage, history, and accomplishments of Hispanic and Latine communities in our ecosystem.We're kicking things off with our new Virtual Bootcamp for Latine entrepreneurs, "Emprende Como Karol G," led by VH Product Manager Yulkendy Valdez! We also have upcoming digital launches and activities to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month over the next few weeks. We invite you all to join us in these initiatives, learn from one another, and strengthen our bonds as a diverse and inclusive community.In addition to online resources, we'll be co-hosting an in-person Salsa Social and Networking event with WeWork and LatinxVC during this year's New York Tech Week! NYC Investors Opportunity with Google For Startups
This Fall, we are excited to work with Google for Startups (GFS) to host a Founder Summit on October 17th - 18th, inviting the top 20 companies that are recipients of their Black and Latinx Founder Funds. Across two days, we will host a holistic experience focused on fundraising readiness, wellness, and community engagement. A featured component of our Summit will be 1-on-1 investor meetings on the program's second day (October 18th). We're inviting active seed/series A investors to attend the event in Manhattan and receive the opportunity to meet up to four founders.
